Andriod Tablets/Phones & GooglePlay
Admittedly, I only really use my phone in therapy to listen to youtube, take photos, or set a timer. I still use my iPad mini loaded with my favorite therapy apps (and truthfully I now use my old iPhone as an iPod Touch) so I am in no way a true apple convert- particularly as I type this on my MacBook :). However, this recent addition to my tech line-up had me curious as to what apps were available on both platforms- app store and google play.
I began looking into some of my favorites and here is what I found!
Super Duper has a wide variety of their fun decks and the hearbuilder apps available on google play.
Next -I am so very happy to report- my beloved Toca Boca apps are available on google play.
For sensory input and a calming break option for kiddos, Cause & Effect Sensory Light Box is a really great tool. So many of our kids are motivated by visual and auditory input and this app does that in a way that is, typically, calming rather than up-regulating. You choose a "shape" and as you touch the screen a really cool light display activates with a corresponding sound.
Happy Monday and I can't wait to keep digging to see what's available for different tablets and phones!
